A scriptwriter, edit producer and development producer, Al has delivered programming for a number of broadcasters including ITV, NBC, Sky, BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and BT Sport, as well as content for brands including Ford, Tinder and Toyota.
His many TV credits range from FOUR TO THE FLOOR and LOVE ISLAND; to SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY and STRICTLY COME DANCING; to the BT SPORT WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS and the 59th GRAMMY AWARDS; to edit producing Channel 4’s STAND UP TO CANCER and series producing RAG‘n’BONE MAN: A DAY IN THE LIFE for Sony and 4Music.
Having cut his teeth on music shows such as CD:UK and Top of the Pops (the demise of which he swears happened *after* he left both shows), he went on to work with MTV International for several years before moving across to work with Channel 4’s suite of youth/music brands.
Al is at home in the edit, working with great editors to turn the rawest of footage or archive into captivating stories, from in-depth fact-ent pieces to quick-turnaround awards shows. And whether writing factual voiceovers for an earnest documentary or humour-heavy entertainment links for a studio show, Al can easily adapt to the tone of a particular brand, broadcaster, genre or presenter. And that includes a few very highly-paid presenters who still need their scripts written phonetically…
