Pete Sinclair has written for many of the most popular TV and radio shows of recent years. He is a writer on HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU and co-wrote four series of the hit BBC2 sitcom LEAD BALLOON with JACK DEE. He has sitcoms in development with ITV and Channel 4 and also writes for Radio 4's award-winning series MARK STEEL'S IN TOWN. His many other TV credits include NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS, LIVE AT THE APOLLO, THEY THINK IT’S ALL OVER, 2DTV, THE MARK STEEL LECTURES, MY HERO and ROOM 101. Prior to these shows, Pete was for several years one of the lead writers for SPITTING IMAGE and co-wrote the critically acclaimed BBC1 comedy series ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER.
In addition to the above, Pete has written for numerous iconic TV comedy presenters and performers including JACK DEE, JASPER CARROTT, SMITH & JONES, RORY BREMNER, CLIVE ANDERSON and JEREMY HARDY.
Alongside his extensive work in light entertainment, Pete’s career has seen wild comedic extremes; from his earliest days as a young stand-up on the alternative cabaret circuit and appearing on Channel 4's WHATEVER YOU WANT; to co-writing stage musical THE NEXT BIG THING, directed by Clive Paget at the New Players Theatre; to script-editing the BBC series BLUESTONE 42, a comedy drama following the lives of a bomb disposal unit in Afghanistan.
